LONGEST TABLE...

This weekend has been pretty busy. I've managed to fit in two movies, a brunch, some sunbathing, open mic with Tom as well as participating in Singapore's longest dining experience spanning over 320 metres along Race Course Road, in Little India. We were treated to a sumptuous buffet spread and free flow beer as we watched a show hosted by popular celebrities and graced by President S. R. Nathan. All amongst 1200 other people!

HOME SWEET HOME....

I've just returned from another great trip back to Windsor and Wales. Managing to take the sunshine with me for the first week it was great to spend some time with Lauren back in Wales, exploring the coastline and of course all the Bridgend girls, as well as mam and dad and the rest of my wonderful family.

Highlights included, a fab breakfast with all the 1HQ and Windsor gang (including Tom and Rachel), road trips in the new Audi A1 Sports, Regan providing constant entertainment, mum's cooking, Louise and Andrew's gorgeous wedding, Imogen's smiles, Carley's cartwheels, Georgia and Megan finally getting me to touch Fudge the hamster, getting to meet Jennie and Jo's baby bumps and finally getting to meet baby Seb, dads jokes, bridesmaids shopping, mum spoiling me (as per usual) and generally just being able to catch up with everyone who I've missed over the last 6 months since my last visit home.

So thank you to everyone who made my trip memorable especially my mam and dad. And I'm sorry if you're reading this and I didn't get to see you... Hopefully next time!

THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER...

Last night, Vic and I visited another theatrical event, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, at the Marina Bay Sands Grand Theatre. Live musicians and Australia's most acclaimed performers took to the stage with some of Webber's most timeless songs. From the director “The emotional force of Andrew Lloyd Webber‟s songs is undisputed. We want to celebrate the extraordinary variety of Andrew Lloyd Webber‟s output and the emotional force of his songs by presenting an intimate affair with all the emotion, all the tunes whilst taking you on a musical journey – one that is stylish, inventive and surprising and also offers some rare insights into the mind of this genius creator.”

I have always loved musical theatre and last night was overcome by so many memories that I connect with the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. My first ever musical...Joseph and The Technicolour Dreamcoat. Miss Tina's School of Dance...performing to music from Cats. School orchestra...performing Love Changes Everything from Aspects of Love and many more.

After more than 40 years, Andrew Lloyd Webber's music continues to have the extraordinary ability to touch an audience, lifting them to new heights of exhilaration and emotion after just a few bars of music. Through state-of–the-art technology, the audience was swept from the avenues of Broadway to the magnificence of Eva Peron's Argentina, to the speedways of Starlight Express, in a dazzling journey through the many settings of Andrew Lloyd Webber's greatest works. All the 'big' moments from Evita, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sunset Boulevard, Woman in White to the current Love Never Dies were captured. Another memorable evening!
