What a year 2013 was for us. One that we will never forget. Here are some of my highlights from the year...
January : I decided to accept a job as Associate Creative Director at Glassick Brands! Exciting times ahead! The girls and I did a cheeky trip to Vietnam to check out Ho Chi Minh...what a great city!
February : I visited Joe in Auckland. We had a fantastic time with one of the highlights being a great visit to Hobbiton! Finally got to meet his wonderful family and got engaged! What an incredible month! Other highlights included watching Ellie Goulding live!
March : After working my notice at Holmes & Marchant I joined the Glassick Brands team and got stuck into work! We also set a date for the wedding and found a venue! Let the planning commence!
April : Lauren came to visit me and we spent the week on the gorgeous island of Koh Racha. What an adventure! It was also a special month for babies, with my lovely friend Libby giving birth to her gorgeous twins, Finley and Ishbel.
May : I turned 30! I was completely spoilt by everyone around me...We finally celebrated our engagement here in Singapore before heading home to the UK to spend a fortnight celebrating our birthdays together and visiting my wonderful family and friends.
June : Wedding preparations were well and truly underway! June was a quiet month as I decided to become a super saver what with so much to consider for the wedding!
July : Another quiet month of wedding preparations...we managed to find a florist, a photographer and someone to make us our wedding cakes!
August : The Stereophonics came to Singapore! And they did not disappoint! Another amazing Welsh gig! Betsy and I also took part in our first ever run. The Colour Run.
September : Glassick Brands celebrated being two years old! It was also a sad time for us here, as we said goodbye to two of our close friends, Sarah & Dan, who left Singapore to start a new chapter of their lives in Sydney. What better way to celebrate, than an Australia party on a boat!
I also flew back to Auckland to see Joseph to attend the wedding of two of Joe's friends, Vasa and Sarah, on Waiheke Island.
The 26th of September was an extremely sad time for me and my family. Nanny Cole passed away and joined the angels. With great support form the friends I have here in Singapore, as well as the great team that I work for, I managed to get through what was an extremely emotional time.
October : I flew home to spend the week with my family and to say a final farewell to a lady who never failed to make me smile. An incredibly strong women who raised an amazing family and made my wonderful father the man he is today. We will miss you forever.
November : The wedding month finally arrived and there is one massive highlight for me. Our magical wedding. What an awesome way to end the year. With all of our wonderful friends and family here with us to celebrate we had the most incredible day of our lives.
December : Joe and I celebrated Christmas together in the same country for the first time! Joined by our friends Paul, Katie and Matt we managed to devour a 9kg turkey and stuff our faces with an incredible amount of food! The way Christmas should be! I'm not sure I'll ever get used to celebrating Christmas in the 33 degree heat. But what better way to start the day...with champagne by the pool...
We topped off Christmas with a trip to Cambodia. It was here we saw in the New Year...What an amazing year! Here's to 2014!
