It has been a difficult start to the year, and I was really pleased that Chris decided to come and visit. Although he had previously come to Singapore for the wedding, he hadn't really experienced much of it. Plus, this time I took him on a cheeky vacation to Bali!
We had a great time! I had booked into the same villas that I had previously visited last year in May. Premium Villas in Seminyak. As I'm getting to know that area quite well now, we revisited some of my favourite restaurants and bars!

I really really like Sardine restaurant. I was so pleased that this time round the rice paddy was in full bloom and so rich in colour. It's a great place to sit and dream the day away.
"Sardine is a charming restaurant and while it's in Petitenget next door to Seminyak the position is more in keeping with old Bali. Surprise. Housed in a striking bamboo structure overlooking a vista of endless rice paddies. The working rice fields which the restaurant faces are tended daily by the local farmers and the verdant field is surrounded by a herbaceous border of live bamboo and lily ponds. Here the cuisine is as inspired as the decor. Sundowners at sunset here is as good as it gets!"

Of course, no trip to Seminyak would be complete without a day lounging on a sunbed at Potato Head! Another one of my favourites!
We also managed to fit in Gold Class at the cinema, plenty of drinking at Marco Marco, Singapore Slings at Raffles Hotel, bike riding on the East Coast and lunch at Level 33! It was such a nice two weeks. Hopefully he will come back again soon!
