Inspired by the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (saws), "Even a smile is an act of charity we call upon everyone regardless of where you are to make a difference in any way you possibly can." Make A Difference Day is an international day of volunteerism coordinated by volunteers across the world. Victoria and I recently "made a difference" by volunteering on behalf of Barclays Capital to help teach under privileged children (from low-income and dysfunctional families) how to take photos at the Botanic Gardens here in Singapore. It was fab to be able to spend some time with great children who won't have as many opportunities as I would have had growing up and give something back to the amazing community here.
